Founded in the year 2017, the Gates Scholarship provides support to Scholars, by engaging with them and their institutions in a diverse ways, to ensure they have a way in to the resources and services they need, from their first to last day of classes, through graduation and the transition to their elect careers.

The Gates Scholarship  is an exceptionally selective, last-dollar scholarship for exceptionally, minority, high school seniors from impoverished households.

With the start of The Gates Scholarship Program in 2017, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation continues its long-standing commitment to helping exceptionally minority students who come from impoverished backgrounds achieve their greatest potential.

At the Gates Scholarship 2023, high school senior students can apply and attain their academic pursuit with the aid of its professionals and resources at the Gates Scholarship Program 2023.

B. From at least one of the following ethnicities: African-American, American Indian/Alaska Native*, Asian & Pacific Islander American, and/or Hispanic American

C. Pell-eligible

D. A US citizen, national, or permanent resident

E. In good academic standing with a minimum cumulative weighted GPA of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent)
