Clarke University Merit Based Scholarships For International Students

Clarke University was founded in the year 1843 by an Irish emigrant named Mother Mary Frances Clark It is an independent university institution  situated  in Dubuque, Iowa and offers a broad range of undergraduate curriculum, and allows graduate masters  and doctoral degrees on choice areas of study.

The University institution is available to resident and international students who wish to further their academic career.

The university institution  aids  its students in various ways; and one of them is through financial assistance programs and scholarships. The institution has a number of merit based scholarships for international students.

 

 

The Merit Based Scholarships:

This is provided for full-time international undergraduates in the daytime academic program. Merit awards are sustainable and to take the advantage of this, prospective applicants must enroll into the university.

1. The  Clarke Scholarship:

First-year students are considered for a Clarke Scholarship upon completion of their admissions file. Award amounts range from $13,000 to $18,000 and are determined based on cumulative high school GPA. The renewal requirement is a minimum of 2.0 GPA. Submitted changes in GPA that increase a student’s academic aid will be processed until February 15 for the fall start term.

2.The  Transfer Scholarship:

Students transferring into Clarke are given a Transfer Scholarship of $15,000 upon acceptance. Recipients must have college credit beyond receiving a high school diploma or equivalent. The renewal requirement is a minimum of 2.0 GPA.

3. The  Pride Scholarship:

Pride Scholarships may be awarded to undergraduate students who demonstrate outstanding athletic ability. Criteria include academic records, recommendations, achievements, and other evidence of the ability to contribute to and benefit from the educational experience at Clarke. Pride Scholarships are available in the following men’s and women’s sports: basketball, bowling, soccer, golf, lacrosse, track & field, cross country, volleyball, football, dance, e sports, baseball, and softball. Please contact the head coach about these awards.

Kindly Note: Prospective student-athletes should inform their coach of additional scholarships or awards they wish to be considered for before being packaged for financial welfare. Any student-athlete who already has a financial welfare package may be limited in the amount of additional scholarship dollars they are eligible for.

4. The Care Society Scholarship:

The Clarke Alumni Referral and Engagement (CARE) Society Scholarship offers a $1,000 renewable scholarship to full-time undergraduate students who are referred to Clarke by an alumna/us or a current full-time Clarke student prior to their acceptance to the University. Our legacy students (those who have had a parent, grandparent, or sibling attend Clarke) will not be eligible for this award as they will receive the Legacy Grant. Alumni who refer a legacy student will still be recognized as part of the CARE Society
